A. H. Fury is the sitting Mayor of Crimson, Maryland and, to the horror of many, duly regarded as one of Crimson's most effective Mayors ever. To have such a high profile life as a public servant, very little is known regarding Fury's background, including details pertaining to his formative years. It is known that, prior to moving to Crimson, Fury owned a small chain of coffee shops in the North West called, Ahab's Coffe and with some excellent business posturing, the chain quickly grew to become a very lucrative national brand. For reasons known only to Fury himself, he relocated his corporate headquarters to Maryland and eventually became a member of Crimson's City Council. Following the unexpected and shocking impeachment of Crimson's sitting Mayor and the 'mental collapse' of its' deputy mayor, Fury was voted in as Mayor of Crimson in a special emergency election, with the vote not being open to the general population. Since becoming Mayor, Fury Implemented "the agenda" which will see Crimson's financial infrastructure grow to proportions that will equal or exceed that of New York City within the next 5 to 10 years.
Fury's 'agenda' and the methods he's taken have been looked upon with great favor by Crimson's merchants and political elite. However, the city's proletariat has grown leery of Fury's designs, especially in regards to his "urban renewal" initiative, which many believe to be nothing more than urban gentrification. With Crimson's political and financial interest influencing the voting masses, Fury seemed assured a second term as Crimson's Mayor. That was until the charismatic young adventurer Lightning Rod appeared in Crimson and began influencing the public to side against Fury in the coming election. Fury has since been engaged in a heated public rivalry with Lightning Rod.
