Series Synopsis

Thirty-five years have passed since the fall of the Great Heroic Age.  The world has become a cynical place that rejects the notion of masked superhuman protectors in favor of a more militaristic guardian.  In place of the disposed heroes rises a cold and unfeeling protector, yet one that could be held accountable for its' actions.  However, this Age of Guardians is not all that it seems.

As our story unfolds, the distinction between hero and villain will be clearer.  And with this clarity may come the fall of the Age of Guardians...and give rise to the Second Heroic Age.

Intrepid is the story of a band of individuals thrown together by chance who stumble upon a vast conspiracy.  As their investigation deepens and the threats become more clearly defined, they will discover that more than their lives, or even their world, stand at risk.

The Age of Guardians has ended.  Long live the Intrepid !!!!

Intrepid #1: Preamble

In issue #1, Preamble, what would appear to be a routine prisoner transfer goes horribly wrong.  Clearly all is not what it seems.  Will this seemingly isolated incident be the spark that ushers in a new heroic era?  The epic adventure begins here!

Intrepid #2:  La Balada de Santos Caidos

Thaddeus Payne, Assistant Director of the United States' Paranormal Protection Agency, in route to a routine prisoner transfer, arrived to find the detention facility demolished and the 143 men stationed there soundly defeated...all at the hands of one man.  Who is this man?  What power does he possess?  Why does his existence threaten the nation's security?  The manhunt leads to the infamous Mexican border town of San Miguel...and shocking revelations.

Intrepid #3:  Death Scene

All is truly not as it seems...Last issue's revelations have changed EVERYTHING.  Joseph Paxton, a former Federal Agent, stands at the center of a conspiracy that will soon shake the world to its very core.  An international incident that may well be the harbinger of a second Heroic Age, or may just as likely, mark the rise of a dark New World Order.  However, none of this matters to Joseph Paxton.  His sole concern is saving the life of her fellow agent and best friend Nadia Chavez, who remains the subject of barbarous experiments at the hands of her merciless captors for an unknown purpose.  The race against time continues!

Intrepid #4:  La Pistola y el Corazon

Joseph Paxton's quest to save his last known surviving teammate, Lt. Nadia Chavez, has reached a critical juncture.  Being the victim of barbarous experiments conducted by The Store, Lt. Chavez has been transformed into an unstoppable killing machine, laying waste to anything crossing her path.  As the Mexican government amasses the forces necessary to end Lt. Chavez' rampage, Paxton takes council with his new-found, though somewhat reluctant, allies as to determine his final course of action.  Meanwhile, in the United States, the ramifications of the incident at Area 49 along with the mass killings in Mexico have sent shock waves through the corridors of power.  What reaction will these events elicit from the White House...?  And more importantly for Joseph Paxton...is a final attempt to save his friends' life possible?
