Obituary
Lt. Commander Nadia M. Chavez Guardian Fugitive Retrieval Division (23), died Wednesday November 25th 2008 Mexico City, Mexico the victim of a plane crash. He is survived by his parents, Enrique and Lolita Chavez along with 14 siblings; Quinton, Chrystal, Marco, Lucy, Anita, Angel, Michelle, Enrique Jr., Marisa, Xavier, Luciano, William, "Luffy", Nicole, and Bonita. Nadia was raised the middle child of 15 children, 11 of which were adopted. The Chavez household has a history of civil service dating back to Jorge Chavez, who died in the Texas Revolution at The Battle of the Alamo. Nadia was the 5th of her siblings to attend Guardian’s preparatory academy, graduating with honors. Upon completing Officers Training School, Nadia was assigned to Guardian’s legendary “Charlie Company” where she served in its 3rd platoon as a squad commander, the first of her siblings to achieve that rank. Nadia was known for her selfless devotion to her teammates, often putting herself in harms way in their defense. She was a highly decorated officer and was singled out by the President of the United States for her efforts in her team’s capture of mass murderer Adalius Boulware at Jackson Station, Jackson MS 2006. More than anything else, Nadia was known for her infectious high spirit, her love for her family and friends, and her love for the country she severed. Nadia was laid to rest at Glenwood Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Her love and the lives she touched will live on forever.
