About Crucial Crisis Comix

Crucial Crisis Comix is an independant comic book publisher, based out of the nation's capital, Washington D.C.  Crucial Crisis Comix has been up and operational since 1997, however, it has been through many different forms and even many different names since then.  Back in 1997, the Founder and President, David Welcher, gathered a group of hopefuls together and began meeting after school in the student library every Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Thus, officially giving birth to Death 7 Productions.  Needless to say a lot has changed since then.  The name changed from Death 7 Productions to New Creation Comix to Vortex Unlimited to Second Wave Productions to, finally, Crucial Crisis Comix, which is a subsidiary of Second Wave Studios, LLC.  Through the years, many people became part of the CCC family, but none have made such a profound and lasting impact as Jose Loeri.  Jose joined our little group in 2001, and since then, a plethora of stories, characters and ideas have been spewing forth from him ever since.  And to prove that point, Jose's flagship title and first love (Intrepid) has managed to also become ours.  With each revision, each rewrite...our story...the story of the CCC Universe has become, bigger, more grandiose and more daring than any comic company has ever dared.

What does Crucial Crisis Comix Publish?

Crucial Crisis has dipped it's nose into a variety of different genres, some of which most would have a hard time reading under one cover.  But here, at Crucial Crisis Comix, we honestly don't really know any other way to do it.  On the surface, some of our books could be categorized as of the super hero genre; however, throw a little bit of western, sci-fi, comedy, drama, military and horror into the fray and what'll you get?  The Crucial Crisis Universe.
